A real hood, built in
Not a strap-on trim: the hood is sewn to the coat, big enough to go over your head properly, and it sits flat behind a wide notched collar when you are not using it.
Double-breasted front
Two rows of three buttons close the coat across the chest, so there is a double layer of fabric where the wind normally gets in.

The back does something
